Send invoices from your time, paid through your own Stripe
Connect your Stripe account and turn a client's billable time into an invoice in a few clicks. Stripe emails it, your client pays online, and the money goes straight to you. Hourtick takes 0.25 % per invoice.
What's new
- Settings → Get paid with Stripe: connect your own Stripe account in about five minutes, or sign in with the one you have
- New invoice from a client, from Reports or from the Invoices page: lines from billable time that isn't invoiced yet, with VAT and the total before you send
- Your client gets an email in their language, pays by card or wallet without an account, and can open a timesheet with every entry behind the invoice
- Sent time locks as invoiced; the same entry can never be on two live invoices, and voiding an invoice frees its time again
- Agents can invoice over MCP and the API, on their own only within limits an admin sets: clients, a maximum per invoice and an expiry date
- 0.25 % per invoice, on every plan, Free included; Stripe's own fees apply. Refund a payment and Hourtick refunds its share
Until now Hourtick told you what to bill and locked the time once you had billed it somewhere else. Now it can send the invoice too. Connect your own Stripe account in Settings, add a billing email to a client, and click New invoice: pick the period, see the lines, VAT and total, and send. Stripe Invoicing issues the invoice on your account with your logo, your numbers and your VAT number, emails it, takes the payment and pays it out to your bank. Hourtick never holds your money.
The lines come from the time itself, at the rate each entry was tracked at, grouped by project and task type, person, day or entry. VAT follows your settings: the standard rate at home, reverse charge for EU businesses abroad, none outside the EU, or whatever you set for a client. The invoice links to a timesheet page, so the client can see exactly what they're paying for, including the work your AI agents did.
Agents get the same tools as people: preview_invoice and send_invoice over MCP, and the same endpoints in the REST API. An admin decides which agents may send on their own and within which limits; everything else waits for a person to approve it. It's optional: nothing changes until you connect Stripe, and marking time invoiced works as before.
