Accessibility statement

Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use Hourtick, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification or reduced motion. Our target for hourtick.com is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, which also covers WCAG 2.1 AA, the level referenced by the U.S. Department of Justice's ADA rule for state and local government websites, and Section 508 (WCAG 2.0 AA).
What we do
- Semantic HTML with headings, landmarks and a “Skip to content” link on every page.
- Everything works with a keyboard, with a visible focus ring that the sticky header never covers.
- Text and interface colors are checked against WCAG contrast ratios.
- Product demos that play by themselves are hidden from screen readers, and the same facts are written out as text next to them.
- Animations stop when your system asks for reduced motion, and a “Pause animations” button (at the top of the page for keyboard users, under the hero demo and in the footer) stops them on request. The choice is remembered in this browser.
- Forms have visible labels and announce errors.
- Pages reflow to a 320-pixel-wide screen and support zoom up to 400% without loss of content.
How we test
We test the public website with automated checks (axe-core rules for WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 A and AA) and by hand with the keyboard, browser zoom, a 320-pixel-wide viewport and reduced motion, and repeat the checks when pages change. Last reviewed: October 9, 2026.
Known limitations
- Screenshots and animated product demos are decorative illustrations; the small interface text inside them is not meant to be read and is not held to text contrast ratios. Everything they show is also described in the page text.
- Third-party content we link to, such as app stores, payment pages and partner documentation, is outside our control.
- This statement covers the public website. The Hourtick web app, the Mac app and the iPhone app are built to the same standard, and we fix reported barriers in them with the same priority.
Report a barrier
If something on our website is hard or impossible to use for you, tell us through the contact form (topic “Accessibility barrier”) with the page address and what happened. We aim to reply within two business days, and if you need the information in another format, we will provide it.
