Necessary storage, and analytics only with your consent

The Hourtick app uses cookies and browser storage only where they're needed to provide the service you asked for. It never uses analytics, advertising or social media cookies.

On our public website (hourtick.com outside the app) we'd like to use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people. It is only loaded after you choose “Allow analytics” in the banner; until then nothing is sent to Google. You can change your choice any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. We don't use advertising or social media cookies anywhere.

Analytics cookies (website only, with consent)

• _ga — Google Analytics, distinguishes visitors. Up to 2 years.
• _ga_<id> — Google Analytics, keeps the session state. Up to 2 years.
• Google Analytics runs with Consent Mode: advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization are always denied. Withdrawing consent deletes these cookies.

Cookies

• better-auth.session_token — keeps you signed in. HttpOnly, 60 days.
• better-auth.last_used_login_method — remembers whether you last signed in with Google or email so we can highlight it. 30 days.
• Short-lived cookies set during Google sign-in — protect the sign-in flow against forgery and expire within minutes.

Local storage

• hourtick:* — a local copy of your recent entries and a queue of changes made offline, so the timer works without a connection. Cleared when you sign out.
• hourtick:last-pick — your last chosen project and task type.
• hourtick:analytics-consent — your answer to the analytics question on our website.

Third-party pages

Stripe Checkout and Google sign-in run on their own domains and set their own cookies under their policies.
