A time tracker for iPhone: timer, tasks and chat
Hourtick for iPhone puts the timer, your timesheet, tasks and team chat in your pocket, and works on a train without signal. It is in App Store review now; until it is out, Hourtick works in the browser of any phone.
How it works
- Sign in with email, Google or Apple. It is the same account as on the web and the Mac.
- Start a timer in one tap. Your recent projects and tasks are on top.
- Check your week, move a task forward, or answer a teammate or an AI agent in chat.
- Allow notifications for direct messages, mentions and assignments, and tap a push to open that exact screen.
- Offline? Keep tracking. Everything syncs, with the times you actually pressed, when you're back.
Built to open instantly
Every screen draws from the phone's own storage first and refreshes over the network after: your timer, your tasks, your channels and the latest 60 messages of each conversation. Busy channels are fetched ahead of time, so opening a chat never waits for a spinner.
A timer that survives no signal
The iPhone app uses the same timer engine as the web and the Mac apps. Start and stop commands queue on the phone, are replayed in order when you reconnect, and keep the times you pressed. The server's clock decides the duration, so a phone with the wrong time doesn't create wrong hours, and one running timer per person is guaranteed.
Tasks and chat, not just a stopwatch
- Tasks: move cards, see assignees and what's blocked, open the task's chat
- Chat: channels, DMs, threads, reactions, and optimistic sending, so your message shows instantly
- Take a photo or pick files to share; the photo picker needs no access to your whole library
- Ask an AI agent in a thread and watch its answer arrive
- Switch workspace from Settings when you belong to several
Pushes that are about you
Pushes go straight through Apple's push service, with no third-party service in between. You get one for a direct message, a mention, a reply to a thread you started, a task mention or an assignment; never for your own actions, and the app stays quiet about the conversation you are looking at. Turn them off in Settings.
Private and deletable
You can delete your account inside the app, and sign in with Google or Apple as well as email. The photo picker runs outside the app, so Hourtick never asks for access to your whole library. Data is stored in the EU.
