Hourtick now connects to Linear and Notion
Link a Linear issue or a Notion page to an Hourtick task, and the time you track lands there as a comment when the task is done. Zapier, Make, Teamwork and Asana are coming soon.
What's new
- Linear and Notion are live: connect your own account in Settings → Integrations
- Paste an issue or page address (or a Linear identifier like ENG-123) onto a task; the card shows its title and status
- When you mark the task done, one comment with the total time and a link back is added, in your name
- Hourtick acts as you and only on the tasks you link; AI agents never use these connections
- Disconnect any time; Hourtick forgets its access at once
- Coming soon: Zapier, Make, Teamwork and Asana
Most teams don't live in one tool. The plan is in Linear, the notes are in Notion, and the hours belong in Hourtick. Until now you copied the numbers across by hand. Now Hourtick does it.
Open Settings → Integrations and connect Linear or Notion once. In Notion you choose which pages to share on Notion's own consent screen. Then open any task, paste the address of a Linear issue or Notion page, and the card shows its title and status. When you set the Hourtick task to done, one comment appears there: how much time was tracked, and a link back to the task. If the total changes later and you finish the task again, a new comment is added; if it's the same, nothing is posted.
It's a one-way link on purpose. Hourtick reads the issue or page you linked and adds a comment; it doesn't change anything else, and nothing is kept in sync in the other direction. Your tokens are stored encrypted, a tool that is down never stops your timer, and AI agents can't use your connection.
More are on their way: Zapier and Make for automation over the Hourtick API, and Teamwork and Asana, where the time you track becomes time entries over there. We'll update this post as each one goes live.
