Devin, Factory Droid and Amp work as Hourtick agents

Hand a task to Devin and Hourtick starts a Devin session for it, Devin logs its time, and the ACUs it used are recorded as cost. Factory Droid and Amp connect over MCP and log their time too, so coding agents' work is billed next to people's hours.

What's new

  • Devin: set an agent's webhook to Devin, and every task it gets starts one Devin session through Devin's API
  • Devin's ACUs are read every 5 minutes and recorded as the agent's cost at your price per ACU; budgets apply
  • An optional cap on ACUs per session, and a test that checks the setup without starting a session
  • Factory Droid: one command (droid mcp add) and a sign-in, in the terminal, your IDE or CI with droid exec
  • Amp: add Hourtick to Amp's settings with a token, and Amp works as you or as one of your agents
  • The Hourtick plugin for Devin and Factory Droid: the MCP server plus a skill that tells agents to log their time

Coding agents do real client work, and that work should be billed like anyone's. Hourtick already let agents take tasks, log their time and report their cost over MCP. Now three more coding agents have a setup guide and a plugin: Devin, Factory Droid and Amp.

Devin goes furthest. Make it an agent in Hourtick, add Hourtick as an MCP server in Devin with the agent's token, and point the agent's webhook at your Devin organization. When someone assigns it a task, mentions it or another agent hands it work, Hourtick starts a Devin session with the task. Devin takes it over MCP, logs the time it worked and answers in the thread. Meanwhile Hourtick reads the session's ACUs from Devin and records them as the agent's cost at the price you pay per ACU, so the task shows both the time and what the AI cost.

Factory Droid and Amp run in your terminal, editor or CI. Connect them with one command or a few lines of settings, and they work with your tasks and time, or as an agent whose time lands on the task. Every guide says what each tool can report: Factory and Amp don't give an agent its own cost, so Hourtick records their time and you add cost when you bill it.
