Harvest has no tasks, and most task tools bolt a timer on. Hourtick does both properly: press C anywhere on the Tasks page to add one, drag it across the board, and see what each piece of work really cost.
Typing what you're doing and pressing Start still works exactly as before. Tasks are there when you want them.
