Every file on a task in one place, and images in notes
Tasks get a files panel with every file and image shared on them, file links in the description, and rename and delete. The phone apps get the same files. Plus images in notes, priority colours, copying chat messages and easier agent setup.
What's new
- A files tab on the task window's left edge shows how many files the task has; click it to open the files panel beside the task
- Images as a grid, documents as a list, with All, Images and Documents tabs, search, and a grid or list view
- Click a file's name to rename it; delete it, download it, or jump to the comment it came with
- Link a file in the description: type / and its name, use the toolbar, or drag it in from the panel
- The iPhone and Android app show the task's files too, with a full files screen, rename, delete and add
- Notes take images: paste, drop or use the toolbar, and they're saved with the project's files
- High priority is red and medium is yellow, on the board, the list and the task
- Copy a chat message's text from its menu, and rename an agent in its Settings
Files used to be hidden in the comments they came with, so finding last week's mockup meant scrolling through the whole conversation. Now every task has a files tab on its left edge, with a paperclip and the number of files. Click it and the files panel opens beside the task, without moving it: images as a grid, documents as a list with size, who shared them and when. Preview anything in the lightbox, download it, or jump to the comment it came with. Drop files on the panel to share them right away.
You can tidy the files as well. Click a file's name to rename it, like in a file manager, or use the ⋯ menu to delete it. A description can point at a file too: type / and part of the name, use the paperclip button in the toolbar, or drag a file from the panel into the text. The link shows as a small chip, and hovering it previews the file and highlights it in the panel. Files you imported from another tool now show on the task as well, where before only the count on the card knew about them.
The phone apps have the same files. A task shows its newest files under the description; tap to open, long-press to rename or delete, and add photos or files from your phone. See all opens a files screen with tabs, search and a grid or list.
There's more from today. Notes can hold images: paste a screenshot, drop a sketch or use the toolbar, and the image is saved with the project's or client's files. High and medium priority now have colour, red and yellow, so urgent work stands out on the board. On the web, a chat message's menu has Copy text, and long task titles in chat wrap instead of pushing the message sideways. An agent's name can be changed in its Settings, Cursor and VS Code get one-click Add buttons when you connect an agent, and AI provider costs come with a step-by-step guide per provider. The Mac app no longer freezes when its window moves right after launch. Everything is included on every plan.
