Free weekly timesheet template (CSV, Excel, Google Sheets)

A good timesheet template has one row per project and one column per day, with totals on both axes. Download ours below — it opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets.

Download the template (CSV)

What's in the template

  • Employee, week starting and client/project columns
  • Monday–Sunday columns in decimal hours
  • Row totals and a weekly total
  • A notes column per row

How to use it

  1. Download the CSV and open it in your spreadsheet app.
  2. Add one row per project or client.
  3. Enter hours per day as decimals (1.5 = 1 h 30 min).
  4. Check the totals and send it for approval.

When to switch from a template

Templates break down with more than a few people: files get emailed around and totals get retyped. A timesheet app like Hourtick fills itself from timers and locks approved weeks.
