Post in a chat channel from any system with a webhook
Give a channel an incoming webhook and your deploys, alerts, forms and shop can post there. Tools that already send Slack, Discord or Microsoft Teams webhooks work by pasting the Hourtick URL.
What's new
- Add a webhook in a channel's details: a private URL with its own name and picture
- Paste it where a tool asks for a Slack, Discord or Teams webhook: GitHub Actions, Sentry, Grafana, Vercel, Zapier
- Attachments, embeds and cards show as cards with fields, pictures and buttons
- Send a test message, pause it, or make a new URL in one click; the last failed attempt shows why
- Mentions and @all work, and messages can start or continue a thread
Most of what a team needs to know doesn't come from a person: a deploy finished, an alert fired, a client filled in a form, an order came in. Now it can land in the channel where the team already talks about it. Open a channel's details, add a webhook, give it a name and a picture, and copy its URL. Anything that can send an HTTP POST can post there, from a one-line curl to your monitoring stack.
You don't need to write an integration for the tools you already use. Hourtick reads the formats they send to Slack, Discord and Microsoft Teams, so a deploy summary with fields, a Grafana alert with its colour and a Teams card with buttons look the way they were meant to. Each webhook can be paused, given a new URL if it leaks, or deleted, and if a request is refused, the webhook shows the reason, so you know what to fix without digging through the other system's logs. Like everything in Hourtick, it's in every plan.
